Job summary

Love's Travel Stops is hiring a Kitchen Team Member in the Town of Waterloo, NY. You will interact with a diverse clientele and provide friendly, attentive service while keeping the deli area clean and stocked. Training is provided if you have no prior experience.

In this role you will prepare deli items, help keep coffee and fountain bars stocked, and may cross-train in other store duties. Ability to lift 25+ pounds and work in different temperatures is required.

Responsibilities

• General customer service duties, answering questions about menu offerings and assisting store cashier teams in deli maintenance.
• Accurately prepare deli products per designated guides, including salads, sandwiches, fruit cups and parfait cups.
• Follow company policies and procedures to maintain food safety standards.
• Cross-train in other departments such as Store Cashier, Restaurant Cashier, Facility Maintenance, and Leadership Roles.
• Lift 25+ pounds and work in varying temperatures.

Job Functions

• General customer service duties including, but not limited to, answering questions about menu offerings, and addressing customer needs. Additionally, assisting store cashier team members in cleaning and maintaining the deli, coffee, and fountain bars with fresh offerings throughout the shift.
• Accurately prepare deli products as instructed in designated preparation guides to include salads, fresh-cut fruit, cold/hot sandwiches and wraps, parfait cups, etc.
• Use a variety of methods and technologies to ensure we follow company policies and procedures to maintain proper food safety conditions.
• Additional duties could include cross-training in other departments such as Store Cashier, Restaurant Cashier, Facility Maintenance, and Leadership Roles.
• Ability to move, lift 25+ pounds. Ability to work in various temperatures.
