Job summary

Love’s Travel Stops & Country Stores Inc. in California is seeking a Kitchen Team Member to deliver friendly, efficient service in the deli area. You will prepare deli items, stock shelves, and keep the section clean while following food safety standards; full training is provided.

Qualifications

• General customer service duties, including answering questions about menu offerings and addressing customer needs.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced deli environment and maintain cleanliness.
• Willing to learn and follow food safety procedures.
• Team players who can support cashier and other departments when needed.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers, take and prepare orders in the deli, salads, sandwiches, and beverages.
• Maintain deli area cleanliness and stock fresh offerings throughout the shift.
• Assist store cashiers and maintain coffee and fountain bars as required.
• Follow company policies and food safety standards at all times.
• Possibility of cross-training in other store areas and leadership roles.

As a Kitchen Team Member, your role goes beyond daily tasks. You will interact with people from all walks of life, brightening their day with top-notch customer service and maintaining a clean, stocked deli area. No experience? No problem! We will teach you!

Job Functions:

• General customer service duties including, but not limited to, answering questions about menu offerings, and addressing customer needs. Additionally, assisting store cashier team members in cleaning and maintaining the deli, coffee, and fountain bars with fresh offerings throughout the shift.
• Accurately prepare deli products as instructed in designated preparation guides to include salads, fresh-cut fruit, cold/hot sandwiches and wraps, parfait cups, etc.
• Use a variety of methods and technologies to ensure we follow company policies and procedures to maintain proper food safety conditions.
• Additional duties could include cross-training in other departments such as Store Cashier, Restaurant Cashier, Facility Maintenance, and Leadership Roles.
• Ability to move, lift 25+ pounds. Ability to work in various temperatures.
