Job summary

Love's Travel Stops & Country Stores Inc. is hiring a Kitchen Team Member in Rock Falls, IL. You will interact with customers, assist at the deli and coffee bars, and maintain a clean, stocked area while following food safety guidelines.

Training is provided for those without experience. Position offers flexible scheduling, a path for growth, and a company-funded tuition assistance program, with benefits including PTO, 401(k) match, and health insurance after 30 days.

• General customer service duties including answering questions about menu offerings and customer needs
• Assist deli, coffee, and fountain bar stations and keep area stocked and clean
• Prepare deli products such as salads, wraps, sandwiches, parfaits per guidelines
• Follow food safety policies and procedures
• Cross-train in other departments as needed

As a Kitchen Team Member, your role goes beyond daily tasks. You will interact with people from all walks of life, brightening their day with top-notch customer service and maintaining a clean, stocked deli area. No experience? No problem! We will teach you!

Job Functions:

• General customer service duties including, but not limited to, answering questions about menu offerings, and addressing customer needs. Additionally, assisting store cashier team members in cleaning and maintaining the deli, coffee, and fountain bars with fresh offerings throughout the shift.
• Accurately prepare deli products as instructed in designated preparation guides to include salads, fresh-cut fruit, cold/hot sandwiches and wraps, parfait cups, etc.
• Use a variety of methods and technologies to ensure we follow company policies and procedures to maintain proper food safety conditions.
• Additional duties could include cross-training in other departments such as Store Cashier, Restaurant Cashier, Facility Maintenance, and Leadership Roles.
• Ability to move, lift 25+ pounds. Ability to work in various temperatures.
