Job summary

Love's Travel Stops is seeking a Kitchen Team Member in a fast-paced grocery and deli environment. You will deliver friendly customer service, prepare deli items, and keep the area clean and stocked for daily operations.

No prior experience is required as training is provided. This role offers opportunities for growth, a strong benefits package, and a culture focused on teamwork and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service skills and friendly demeanor.

• Familiarity with basic food safety practices and handling.

Responsibilities

• Provide general customer service, answer questions about menu offerings, and address customer needs.
• Assist store cashier team members in cleaning and maintaining the deli, coffee, and fountain bars.
• Accurately prepare deli products per guides: salads, fruit, sandwiches, wraps, parfait cups, etc.
• Follow company policies to maintain proper food safety conditions.
• Cross-train in other departments such as Cashier, Maintenance, or Leadership roles.
• Move, lift 25+ pounds and work in varying temperatures.

As a Kitchen Team Member, your role goes beyond daily tasks. You will interact with people from all walks of life, brightening their day with top-notch customer service and maintaining a clean, stocked deli area. No experience? No problem! We will teach you!

Job Functions:

• General customer service duties including, but not limited to, answering questions about menu offerings, and addressing customer needs. Additionally, assisting store cashier team members in cleaning and maintaining the deli, coffee, and fountain bars with fresh offerings throughout the shift.
• Accurately prepare deli products as instructed in designated preparation guides to include salads, fresh-cut fruit, cold/hot sandwiches and wraps, parfait cups, etc.
• Use a variety of methods and technologies to ensure we follow company policies and procedures to maintain proper food safety conditions.
• Additional duties could include cross-training in other departments such as Store Cashier, Restaurant Cashier, Facility Maintenance, and Leadership Roles.
• Ability to move, lift 25+ pounds. Ability to work in various temperatures.
