Job summary

Monarch Communities is seeking a Part-Time Kitchen Helper to assist the culinary team with dishwashing, sanitation, cleaning, and routine meal preparation. You will help ensure the kitchen, dining service areas, and meal service operations are clean, organized, and ready to provide excellent service to residents and guests.

This hourly, non-exempt role pays $17-$18 per hour. The position requires the ability to follow written and verbal instructions, work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Prior food service, kitchen, or hospitality experience preferred.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment in accordance with sanitation standard operating procedures.
• Operate dishwashing equipment safely; wash, clean, and store pots, pans, and kitchen utensils.
• Maintain adequate cleaning supplies and manage waste as needed.
• Assist with meal preparation tasks and tray setup for service.
• Support servers with side work and setup for each meal service.
• Assist with room service tray delivery and meal cart operations.
• Remove soiled dishes during meal service and return them to the dishwashing station.
• Participate in in-service training and follow all regulations and policies.
