Job summary

Monarch Communities is seeking a part-time Kitchen Helper to assist the culinary team in dishwashing, sanitation, cleaning, and routine meal preparation for residents and guests. This hourly role reports to the Culinary Services Director or Executive Chef and offers a supportive work environment.

The position requires standing, lifting up to 50 lbs, and participating in safety protocols. Pay rate is $16.00 per hour, with part-time scheduling less than 30 hours per week.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Prior food service, kitchen, or hospitality experience preferred.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment in accordance with sanitation standard operating procedures.
• Operate dishwashing equipment safely and properly; wash, clean, and store pots, pans, utensils, plates, glasses, silverware, and other food service equipment.
• Maintain adequate cleaning supplies, monitor chemical dispensers, use safety equipment, and remove kitchen trash and refuse as needed.
• Support preparation for meal service through simple kitchen tasks such as washing and preparing fruits and vegetables, plating desserts, and assisting with tray setup.
• Assist servers with side work and routine setup tasks to ensure dining areas and service stations are prepared for each meal service.
• Assist with room service tray delivery and the delivery and retrieval of meal carts to and from satellite kitchens or designated service areas.
