Job summary

THE SHACK BREAKFAST AND LUNCH in Overland Park is seeking a kitchen staff member dedicated to cleanliness and efficiency. You will wash glassware by hand when necessary, empty trash, rotate dishes to reduce wear, and follow sanitation policies.

You will assist the prep cook and other kitchen staff, perform opening and closing duties and side work, clean spills, and report sanitation issues to the proper party. Reliable, punctual, and teamwork oriented applicants encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Wash glassware and other implements by hand when necessary
• Empty and clean all trash receptacles
• Rotate dishes to reduce wear and tear on resources
• Follow sanitation policies at all times
• Provide assistance to prep cook and other kitchen staff as needed, especially during peak times
• Perform opening, closing and side work
• Clean up spills or broken glassware immediately
• Report any sanitation or janitorial issues to appropriate party
