This position is responsible for supervising kitchen operations, ensuring adherence to health regulations, and effectively managing staff to achieve financial, guest satisfaction, and employee relations goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Supervise staff to maintain high food quality and production standards.
  2. Conduct daily line checks, audits, and follow-ups to ensure consistency and quality.
  3. Identify improvement opportunities and implement necessary changes.
  4. Develop standard operating procedures to enhance quality.
  5. Ensure food preparation and delivery meet standards across all outlets, including banquet events, restaurants, room service, and a la carte service.
  6. Maintain outstanding presentation standards, including use of records and photographs for plate setup.
  7. Train team on menu changes and collaborate on new menu development.
  8. Monitor and control kitchen expenses to maximize profitability.
  9. Manage labor through scheduling and adjustments based on business needs.
  10. Follow procurement guidelines, control food costs, and maximize revenue.
  11. Maintain company assets within budget and prolong their lifespan.
  12. Ensure guest satisfaction by meeting food and beverage standards and addressing concerns promptly.
  13. Train and model operational standards with kitchen staff, including ticket times and quality.
  14. Maintain training records and analyze quality issues to improve results.
  15. Lead by example in food safety and storage standards.
  16. Conduct routine inspections to ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
  17. Maintain a clean and safe work environment, following all procedures for incidents.
  18. Participate in hiring, training, performance evaluation, and coaching of staff.
  19. Set goals, provide feedback, and recognize team members to motivate.
  20. Handle disciplinary actions and terminations in collaboration with management.
  21. Manage workload effectively and demonstrate strong communication skills.
  22. Promote a collaborative and professional work environment.
  23. Attend meetings for communication and planning.
  24. Adhere to all Standard Operating Procedures.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of progressive kitchen supervisory experience.
  • Attention to detail, excellent communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • High school diploma or GED; college/culinary degree or equivalent experience.
  • Serve Safe or equivalent certification (or ability to obtain).
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
  • Extended hours, walking, bending, standing, and carrying as required by the shift.
Preferred Skills:
  • 2+ years as a kitchen supervisor in a reputable restaurant or hotel.
