Qualifications

  • 2-4+ years of culinary experience; well-versed in the operation of multiple culinary stations.
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience in a high-volume restaurant environment preferred.
  • Knowledge of basic kitchen preparation, knife skills, sanitation, and food safety.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to remain active, including standing for 8+ hours per day.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining exceptional food quality.
  • Flexible scheduling to include nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Previous experience as a line cook or in a similar culinary role is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of kitchen operations and food preparation techniques.
  • Assist in supervising daily kitchen operations and supporting the culinary team during service.
  • Ensure all menu items are prepared according to recipes, quality standards, and presentation guidelines.
  • Help maintain proper food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards throughout the kitchen.
  • Assist with scheduling associates, inventory control, food ordering, and minimizing waste.
  • Train, coach, and support line cooks and other kitchen associates as needed.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills to ensure smooth coordination with kitchen staff and management.
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality and safety.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Overview

We're looking for enthusiastic, creative, and ambitious individuals to join the team at Blackship Little Katana at Omni Dallas Hotel. A Kitchen Supervisor plays a vital role in the daily operation of the kitchen by using their culinary experience to prepare authentic, high-quality dishes across multiple hot and cold stations while ensuring consistency, efficiency, and exceptional guest experiences.
