The 1,054-room Omni Boston Hotel at the Seaport is the newest luxury hotel in Boston, featuring seven dining outlets, a signature spa, fitness center, rooftop pool, and over 100,000 square feet of meeting and event space, catering to discerning guests.

The Kitchen Supervisor is responsible for the efficient operation of the kitchen and food outlets, ensuring cost control and high standards of food and service.

Responsibilities

  1. Maintain high standards in food and service across all outlets.
  2. Foster a positive working environment.
  3. Lead kitchen operations and staff supervision.
  4. Oversee daily food production and service execution.
  5. Participate in hiring, coaching, and scheduling.
  6. Manage food ordering, receiving, and storage.
  7. Implement special projects assigned by the executive chef.
  8. Contribute to long-term planning, including menu development, equipment upgrades, and renovations.
  9. Control food costs within budget.
  10. Develop and cost recipes.
  11. Supervise kitchen staff daily.

Qualifications

  • Experience in high-quality hotels or restaurants preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Problem-solving skills in high-pressure situations.
  • Strong food technique and cultural knowledge.
  • Advanced butchery skills.
  • Project planning and execution skills with measurable results.
  • Ability to delegate and follow up effectively.
  • Physical ability to stand for at least 8 hours and lift at least 30 pounds.
  • Color vision and depth perception for food prep and presentation.
  • Effective communication within the kitchen team.
