Job summary

MANTECA is seeking a dishwasher to support daily kitchen operations in a fast-paced environment. You will wash dishes, monitor chemical and water temperatures, and keep the kitchen clean and sanitary, reporting to the Cook and Dietary supervisor.

Education requires a high school diploma or equivalent, and you must obtain a food handlers' certificate. The role emphasizes teamwork and safe handling across departments with physical duties and routine training.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Language: Ability to read technical procedures and follow recipes.
• Math: Apply fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions.
• Reasoning: Solve practical problems and interpret instructions.
• Certificates: Must obtain and maintain a food handlers' certificate.

Responsibilities

• Strip down returned trays and start washing dishes.
• Check chlorine concentration and water temperature at shift start.
• Observe dishwasher water temperatures during cycles.
• Operate dishwasher as required.
• Sweep and mop kitchen; carry out trash disposal.
• Store groceries safely and keep kitchen clean.
• Maintain sanitary work surfaces and refrigerators.
• Aid in training dietary staff as needed.
• Collaborate harmoniously with personnel across departments.
