Oak Grove Racing, Gaming & Hotel in Oak Grove, Kentucky, seeks a Kitchen Steward to maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, dishware, and service ware under Kitchen Supervisors. Responsibilities include cleaning grills, ware washing machines, floors, and walk-ins; washing and rinsing dishware; and adhering to health and safety standards.

The role covers all kitchen areas and requires availability including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Customer Service or Food & Beverage experience is preferred.
• Able to obtain and maintain a Kentucky gaming/racing license.

Responsibilities

• Clean grills, range hoods, ware washing machines, floors, and walk-ins.
• Wash and rinse all dishware, tableware, and service ware before sending through the dish machine.
• Follow Health & Safety standards and wash hands at contamination points.
• Clean and maintain all kitchen floors and surfaces; mop areas as needed.
• Set up, break down, and maintain all dishwashers.
• Report malfunctions of the dishwashing machine or other equipment.
• Empty trash and cardboard boxes to the dumpsters; keep cook lines clean.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors to maintain the kitchen.
