Job summary

Sodexo is seeking a Steward to support food service operations at Indiana Convention Center. You will maintain a clean, safe, and organized back-of-house, handling sanitation, warewashing, equipment care, and overall kitchen cleanliness.

This role supports restaurants, banquets, concessions, and catering operations and reports to the Steward Supervisor. The ideal candidate has a High School diploma or GED and prior stewarding or food service support experience.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience preferred.
• Previous experience in stewarding, sanitation, or food service support roles preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support opening and closing sanitation procedures for food service areas.
• Assist with organization and proper storage of equipment, supplies, and service ware.
• Handle waste, recycling, and grease removal in accordance with established procedures.
• Maintain floors, drains, and work surfaces to meet cleanliness and safety standards.
• Ability to frequently lift and move up to 35 pounds and occasionally up to 40 pounds.
• Attends work and shows for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity
• Other duties may be assigned and can differ among accounts, depending on business necessities and client requirements.
