21c Museum Hotels is seeking a Kitchen Steward to support the daily operation of the kitchen with a focus on cleaning service ware, trash removal, and floor care. You will help keep equipment and spaces organized to ensure smooth service throughout shifts.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills; must be able to speak, read, and understand English.
• Clean and professional appearance.
• Must pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Reports to work on time and ready to work scheduled shift.
• Breaks machine down properly to thoroughly clean all parts.
• Changes water in machine and cleans debris baskets hourly.
• Keeps all chemicals full during service so machines are cleaning properly.
• Notifies supervisors if low on soap products.
• Maintains fresh wash water in three‑compartment sink; change hourly.
• Ensures sanitizer test strips are present.
• Keeps shelves above the sinks organized and dry.
• Removes trash and recycling as needed during service.
• Keeps hand sinks stocked with soap and towels.
• Maintains cleanliness and organization of dish stations.
• Keeps soil tables organized for dirty items.
• Stores and organizes BOH space daily.
• Stores and organizes non‑F&B orders.
• Performs opening and closing duties as outlined by supervisors.
