Job summary

Pyramid Global Hospitality is seeking a Kitchen Steward for our Bend, Oregon property to maintain clean, safe kitchen areas and support culinary teams. This role is essential to the heart of the house, ensuring sanitary conditions and smooth operations for guests and staff alike.

You will participate in daily sanitation, waste reduction, and energy-saving practices while collaborating with cooks and dishwashers.

Qualifications

• Experience in housekeeping and cleanliness is desirable.
• Engaging, pleasant personality with a guest focus.
• Efficient time management and prioritization of tasks.
• Able to stand for extended periods during shifts.
• Excellent communication skills with guests and team members.
• Aware of safety, hazards, and safe work practices.
• Able to lift 25 lbs and maneuver loads as needed.

Responsibilities

• Interact with team members to maintain a positive work environment.
• Maintain a daily sanitation log for dish machine and pot wash areas.
• Ensure work areas are clean and ready; communicate any gaps.
• Lead green initiatives by recycling cardboard with the compactor.
• Conserve energy by turning off unused lights and faucets; report leaks.
• Support safety by monitoring high-traffic areas to prevent accidents.
• Use proper dish and glass racks to protect wares and avoid breakage.
• Clean and sanitize equipment during slow times to stay organized.
• Learn different kitchen tasks and develop new skills.
• Be part of a team and assist in other areas as needed.
• Provide genuine engagement with guests and crew.
