Job summary

Indian Head Casino & Plateau Travel Plaza in Warm Springs, OR is seeking a Kitchen Steward to help keep our restaurant's dishes, utensils, and kitchen floors clean and sanitary. You will work with teammates to complete tasks quickly and safely.

This role emphasizes adherence to health code standards and the safe use of cleaning chemicals and PPE, with responsibilities including daily cleaning, restocking handwashing stations, and supporting the dining areas.

Qualifications

• Kitchen experience preferred and ability to communicate with Supervisors and staff.

Responsibilities

• Washes and shelves dishes, glassware, silverware, pots and pans, and all cooking utensils.
• Maintains the dishwashing area to keep it clean and organized and ensure the dishwasher operates at peak performance.
• Cleans all carts, warmers, and rolling racks daily.
• Sanitizes walls, tables, sinks and other surfaces according to schedule.
• Keeps handwashing stations stocked and clean.
• Cleans the Employee Dining Room (EDR) according to schedule.
• Keeps work areas clean and orderly.
• Empties and cleans garbage cans from Food & Beverage; transports garbage to disposal area.
• Breaks down and recycles cardboard boxes.
• Sweeps and mops floors in kitchen, EDR and walk-ins daily.
• Cleans floor mats daily.
• Operates sanitation and cleaning equipment safely.
• Uses chemicals and PPE properly.
• Follows health code standards and policies for food service cleaning.
