Job summary

Hotel Equities, a multi-award-winning hotel development and hospitality management company, is seeking a Kitchen Steward for the Chamberlain West Hollywood, CA. The role focuses on keeping the kitchen and back-of-house areas clean, safe, and organized to support smooth service.

You will handle dishwashing, sanitation, waste disposal, and assist with inventory of cleaning supplies, working with the culinary team to maintain high hygiene standards and contribute to an exceptional guest experience.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a kitchen steward or similar role preferred but not required.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Basic understanding of sanitation and food safety standards.
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness.

Responsibilities

• Wash, clean, and sanitize all kitchen utensils, cookware, and equipment promptly and thoroughly.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen floors, walls, and work surfaces throughout the shift.
• Dispose of kitchen waste and recyclables in accordance with health and safety regulations.
• Assist with receiving and storing deliveries, ensuring proper rotation and storage of supplies.
• Support the culinary team by organizing and maintaining kitchen storage areas and dishwashing stations.
• Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines to comply with health department standards.
• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the management team immediately.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient service during peak hours.
