Job summary

Bar Sprezzatura in downtown Portland, located inside the historic Heathman Hotel, seeks a Steward to support its back-of-house team in a fast-paced, fine dining setting. You will help keep all kitchen tools, dishes and equipment clean and ready for service, contributing to a spotless kitchen and smooth operations.

The ideal candidate is organized, reliable, and comfortable standing for long periods, with 1–2 years in similar environments and a strong focus on teamwork and safety.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in a fine dining or high-volume kitchen.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Able to stand and lift up to 40 pounds.
• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Knowledge of kitchen safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all kitchen tools, dishes, and equipment are clean and ready for service.
• Maintain organization and sanitation standards in a fast-paced, fine dining environment.
• Support back-of-house operations to ensure smooth kitchen flow.
