Job summary

Upper Crust Food Service is seeking a Kitchen Steward to support the culinary team by maintaining a clean, sanitary kitchen and dining area. The role involves washing dishes, stocking supplies, and assisting with deliveries while upholding positive, professional interactions with staff and customers.

Ideal candidates will have teamwork skills, experience with a commercial dishwasher, and familiarity with industry best practices in food safety and sanitation.

Qualifications

• Ability to work well as part of a team.
• Experience operating a commercial dishwasher is preferred.
• Familiarity with industry best practices in kitchen safety and sanitation.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen and dining area.
• Wash utensils, equipment and dishes using a dishwasher or by hand.
• Put away clean dishes, glassware, flatware, pots and pans.
• Stock supplies in serving stations, cupboards, refrigerators, or salad bars.
• Sweep and wash floors.
• Assist in unloading and putting away deliveries.
• Maintain a positive and professional attitude with coworkers and customers.
• Communicate regularly with management via calls, emails, and texts.
