Job summary

Whole Foods Market is seeking an entry-level Kitchen/Dishwasher in Simi Valley to maintain a clean and safe cooking area. You will wash dishes, stock, and support deliveries while delivering friendly service to customers and team members.

Ideal candidates demonstrate reliability, strong work ethic, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The role includes flexible scheduling, safety compliance, and opportunities to learn broader kitchen duties within the store.

Qualifications

• No prior retail experience required.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Ability to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Stand/walk 6-8 hours in an 8-hour day.

Responsibilities

• Washes, rinses, and sanitizes dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and small wares.
• Maintains cleanliness of floors, mats, drains, walls, and shelves in the kitchen area.
• Assists with kitchen deliveries including proper storage, organization, and rotation of products.
• Arrives to work station on time, appropriately groomed, dressed and ready to work; works all scheduled shifts and attends required trainings and meetings.
• Provides excellent customer service, addresses needs of customers in a timely and effective manner and models suggestive selling techniques; answers phones and pages promptly and courteously.
• Maximizes sales potential through proper prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising product.
• Follows safety, health and sanitation procedures.
• Maintains a clean working/shopping environment; maintains equipment per safety standards.
• Performs opening/mid/closing duties; reports safety hazards.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
