Whole Foods Market in Evergreen Park, IL is seeking a dedicated Kitchen Assistant to wash dishes, sanitize and maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area. The role involves timely prep support, proper storage, and collaboration with Team Members to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications

• No prior retail experience required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for 6–8 hours.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Washes, rinses, and sanitizes dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and small wares.
• Maintains cleanliness of floors, mats, drains, walls, and shelves in the kitchen area.
• Assists with kitchen deliveries including proper storage, organization, and rotation of products.
• Arrives to work station on time, groomed, dressed and ready to work; works all scheduled shifts and attends trainings and meetings.
• Provides excellent customer service, addresses needs of customers in a timely manner and models suggestive selling; answers phones and pages promptly.
• Maximizes sales potential through proper prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising product.
• Follows established procedures including Weights and Measures, health and sanitation, and safe work practices.
• Maintains a clean and sanitary working/shopping environment; maintains equipment per cleanliness and safety standards.
• Performs opening, mid, and closing duties; ensures accuracy of signs and pricing; reports safety hazards and violations.
• Performs other duties as assigned by store, regional, or national leadership.
