Job summary

Whole Foods Market is seeking a dedicated Dishwash/General Kitchen Helper. The role focuses on washing dishes, maintaining cleanliness, and supporting the kitchen team to ensure a positive store image through courteous service and safe practices.

Responsibilities include sanitizing wares, stocking, assisting with deliveries, and adhering to health and safety regulations. No prior retail experience is required; possibility of career growth within a values-driven environment.

Qualifications

• No prior retail experience required.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency.

Responsibilities

• Washes, rinses, and sanitizes dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and small wares.
• Maintains cleanliness of floors, mats, drains, walls, and shelves in the kitchen area.
• Assists with kitchen deliveries including proper storage, organization, and rotation of products.
• Arrives to work station on time, appropriately groomed, dressed and ready to work; works all scheduled shifts and attends required trainings and meetings.
• Provides excellent customer service, addresses needs of customers in a timely and effective manner and models suggestive selling techniques; answers phones and pages promptly and courteously.
• Maximizes sales potential through proper prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising product.
• Follows procedures including health and sanitation and safe work practices.
• Maintains a clean and sanitary working/shopping environment; maintains equipment per cleanliness standards.
• Performs opening, mid, and closing duties; ensures accuracy of signs and pricing; reports safety hazards and violations.
• Performs other duties as assigned by store leadership.
