Job summary

Holy City Hospitality, a Charleston-based restaurant, catering, and events company, is seeking a Dishwasher to join our kitchen team in Charleston, SC. You will maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization while supporting dining room and kitchen operations during service.

Responsibilities include washing and sanitizing dishes, stocking clean items, and assisting with basic prep. Candidates should be able to stand, lift up to 50 pounds, and work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant experience is preferred but not required.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.
• Ability to follow directions and work independently when needed.
• Ability to stand, bend, lift, and move continuously throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds safely.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, flatware, cookware, utensils, and kitchen equipment using dishwashing equipment and approved cleaning procedures.
• Maintain a steady flow of clean items to support kitchen and dining room operations during service.
• Properly sort, stack, and store clean dishes and equipment in designated areas.
• Empty trash and recycling containers and transport waste to designated disposal areas.
• Clean and maintain dishwashing machines, sinks, floors, drains, mats, and work areas throughout each shift.
• Assist with receiving deliveries and organizing storage areas as needed.
• Support kitchen staff with basic prep and cleaning tasks when assigned.
• Follow all health, sanitation, food safety, and workplace safety standards.
• Assist with opening and closing cleaning duties.
• Maintain a positive attitude and work collaboratively with all front-of-house and back-of-house team members.
