Job summary

Whole Foods Market IP. L.P. in Portsmouth, NH is hiring an entry-level Team Member to wash dishes and maintain the kitchen’s cleanliness.

You will provide courteous, friendly service to customers and co-workers while following health, safety, and SOPs. Punctuality, teamwork, and a strong work ethic are essential. The role supports store operations, meets sanitation standards, and requires the ability to lift 50 pounds and work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• No prior retail experience required.
• Must lift 50 pounds.
• Stand/walk 6-8 hours per day.
• Exposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Strong communication and teamwork.
• Commitment to health and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Washes, rinses, and sanitizes dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and small wares.
• Maintains cleanliness of floors, mats, drains, walls, and shelves in the kitchen area.
• Assists with kitchen deliveries including proper storage, organization, and rotation of products.
• Arrives to work station on time, appropriately groomed, dressed and ready to work; works all scheduled shifts and attends required trainings and meetings.
• Provides excellent customer service, addresses needs of customers in a timely and effective manner and models suggestive selling techniques; answers phones and pages promptly and courteously.
• Maximizes sales potential through proper prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising product.
• Follows and complies with health and sanitation, and safe work practices.
• Maintains a clean and sanitary working and shopping environment; maintains equipment per standards.
• Performs opening, mid, and closing duties; ensures accuracy of signs and pricing; reports safety hazards.
• Performs other duties as assigned by store, regional, or national leadership.
