Job summary

Stonebridge is seeking a Steward in Grand Junction to ensure the orderly flow of china, glassware, silver, and other kitchen supplies. The role supports outlets and banquets, maintaining a clean, sanitary kitchen and storage areas in compliance with health regulations.

Responsibilities include washing and stocking, coordinating with the culinary team, and assisting with event setups. This is a non-exempt, full-time hourly position with a focus on safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a kitchen or stewarding role is preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of proper sanitation and safety procedures in a kitchen environment.
• Ability to operate dishwashing machines and other kitchen cleaning equipment.
• Strong attention to detail in maintaining cleanliness and organization.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
• Good communication skills to interact with team members and supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Washes and sanitizes dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and other kitchen equipment.
• Maintains cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, pantry, and storage areas.
• Ensures the proper handling and storage of all kitchen equipment and utensils.
• Monitors the dishwashing machine for proper cleaning and sanitation.
• Assists in transporting food and equipment to banquet and dining areas as needed.
• Follows health department regulations and hotel standards for cleanliness and safety.
• Disposes of trash and recycling in accordance with local regulations.
• Restocks dishes, glassware, and silverware in the kitchen and service areas.
• Communicates with the culinary team to ensure the timely delivery of kitchen equipment.
• Performs routine cleaning tasks such as mopping floors and wiping down surfaces.
• Assists with setting up and breaking down kitchen equipment for events.
