Job summary

Atria Senior Living - San Juan is seeking a Kitchen Associate to help maintain the dining spaces and ensure a clean, safe kitchen for residents. Responsibilities include washing and sanitizing dishware, keeping the kitchen orderly, and supporting dining service.

You will collaborate with the Culinary Services team to promote a restaurant-style dining experience, assist with events, and ensure food safety and resident satisfaction through diligent daily duties.

Qualifications

• Basic reading, writing, and mathematical skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain kitchen and dining areas in a clean and orderly condition.
• Wash, clean, sanitize and store dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and other equipment used in kitchen and dining areas.
• Keep floors, equipment and other areas clean and sanitary.
• Provide a high level of customer service and promote a restaurant-style dining atmosphere.
• Work with the Director of Culinary Services and/or Executive Director to keep residents satisfied with food and dining programs.
• Maintain the kitchen in a clean, safe and sanitary condition at all times.
• Wash and store all dishes and equipment according to policy and procedures.
• Maintain dish room area in a neat, clean and sanitary manner.
• Keep kitchen floors clean and trash emptied.
• Assist with preparation and execution of Art of Atria Dining enhancement programs.
• Maintain dish machine and sanitizing temperatures and ppm levels.
• Adhere to cleaning schedules and quality food safety standards.
• Assist with transportation and storage of food and supplies.
• Assist cooks and wait staff as requested.
• May perform other duties as needed and/or assigned.
