Job summary

Stonebridge Companies in Bozeman, MT is seeking a part-time Steward to maintain clean dishware, kitchen areas, and storage spaces. The role supports all outlets and banquets by ensuring timely supplies and sanitary conditions in accordance with health regulations.

The Steward will operate dishwashing equipment, restock wares, and assist with event setup and breakdown, while adhering to hotel standards and safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Washes and sanitizes dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and other kitchen equipment.
• Maintains cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, pantry, and storage areas.
• Ensures the proper handling and storage of all kitchen equipment and utensils.
• Monitors the dishwashing machine for proper cleaning and sanitation.
• Assists in transporting food and equipment to banquet and dining areas as needed.
• Follows health department regulations and hotel standards for cleanliness and safety.
• Disposes of trash and recycling in accordance with local regulations.
• Restocks dishes, glassware, and silverware in the kitchen and service areas.
• Communicates with the culinary team to ensure the timely delivery of kitchen equipment.
• Performs routine cleaning tasks such as mopping floors and wiping down surfaces.
• Assists with setting up and breaking down kitchen equipment for events.

City, State: Bozeman, Montana Title: Steward Location: Club Tavern & Grill Bozeman, MT FLSA: Non-Exempt Status: Part-time Reports to: Executive Chef Pay Range: $18.00 per hour

Job Summary: The Steward is responsible for ensuring the orderly flow of china, glassware, silver, and other related equipment, maintaining cleanliness standards in accordance with local health department regulations and hotel policies. This role supports all outlets and banquet areas by providing necessary supplies and maintaining a clean and sanitary kitchen, pantry, and storage area.

Essential Functions and Duties:

• Washes and sanitizes dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and other kitchen equipment.
• Maintains cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, pantry, and storage areas.
• Ensures the proper handling and storage of all kitchen equipment and utensils.

Required Experience, Education, and Skills:

• Previous experience in a kitchen or stewarding role is preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of proper sanitation and safety procedures in a kitchen environment.

• Strong attention to detail in maintaining cleanliness and organization.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.

Work Environment:

Primarily works in a kitchen environment with exposure to high temperatures, cleaning chemicals, and kitchen equipment. Frequently stands and walks for extended periods during the shift. Regularly lifts and carries objects weighing up to 50 lbs. Uses hands to handle kitchen equipment, utensils, and cleaning tools. Requires frequent bending, lifting, pushing, and pulling.
