Job summary

hriproperties is seeking a dedicated Dishwasher/Steward for on-site kitchen support. The role involves prompt cleaning and organization of dishware, utensils, and kitchen spaces to ensure staff have proper equipment and a clean working environment.

Responsibilities include operating and maintaining dishwashing equipment, ensuring sanitation compliance, and supporting recycling programs. Flexibility for various shifts, including weekends, is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Six months experience as a dishwasher, utility or steward.
• Knowledge of safe chemical and equipment handling required.

Responsibilities

• Sort soiled ware for washing.
• Wash and replace ware in storage.
• Maintain dish areas and ensure machine functioning.
• Understand dish machine maintenance for optimal use.
• Clean and dry floors to prevent slips.
• Manage trash area and cafeteria cleanliness.
• Enforce sanitation laws and safety standards in kitchen.
• Polish silver as needed.
• Label and store deliveries; organize garbage/recycling.
• Set up workstation and report shortages; replenish as needed.
• Know MSDS locations.
• Support recycling and sanitation programs.
• Report safety hazards to supervisor.
• Ability to work some PM shifts.
