Job summary

The Palms Hotel & Spa in Miami Beach is seeking a reliable Utility Steward to maintain cleanliness and organization in our kitchen and stewarding areas. You will operate dishwashing equipment, sanitize utensils, and support the culinary and banquet teams to uphold our high standards of sanitation and food safety.

Ideal candidates are punctual, able to work in a fast-paced environment, and flexible to work weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

Experience in stewarding or dishwashing preferred.
Ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization.
Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Flexible schedules including weekends and holidays.
Reliable, punctual and a good team player.
Knowledge of safety procedures and HACCP basics.

Responsibilities

Operate dishwashing equipment to clean and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots and kitchen equipment.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of dishwashing stations and kitchen areas.
Ensure all equipment and utensils are washed, sanitized and stored per standards.
Assist with trash, recycling and compost disposal according to procedures.
Support culinary and banquet operations with clean equipment and supplies.
Follow health, safety and sanitation guidelines including HACCP and local regs.
Assist with receiving and organizing deliveries when needed.
