Job summary

Golden Nugget is seeking a Kitchen Worker/Utility Cleaner to perform all phases of kitchen cleaning under supervision, while delivering professional guest service that reflects the brand values.

Responsibilities include maintaining uniforms, adhering to procedures, knowing outlet locations, washing dishes, cleaning floors, walls, fixtures, and assisting with supplies and safety. Growth opportunities and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Must read, write, speak and understand English.
• Must have working knowledge of point of sale systems.
• Must be able to perform basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division).
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain uniform appearance according to established guidelines.
• Adhere to policies and procedures.
• Know locations of all Golden Nugget outlets and services available to the guests.
• Responsible for washing pots and pans and properly sorting and storing them on the pot shelves.
• Responsible for washing baseboards, floor drains, hand sinks, tables and cutting boards.
• Responsible for cleaning all walls, ceilings, light fixtures, which may require the use of stepladder, and also reporting repairs as needed.
• Responsible for sweeping, mopping and waxing all floors.
• Responsible for hauling trash from the kitchen areas to the Trash Room.
• Responsible for polishing silver, glass and brass in all outlets as needed.
• Responsible for cleaning and maintaining dish machines in all outlets.
• Responsible for cleaning all food and beverage service carts, speed racks, double wide racks, food warmers, queen marys and dish dollies.
• Responsible for washing kettle pots on hot line as needed.
• Responsible for set up of all china glass and silver for all food outlets.
• Responsible for cleaning loading dock bay area with pressure washer.
• Responsible for food and beverage inventory of china, glass, silver and linen.
• Inform Sous Chef and/or F&B Outlet Manager of needed supplies.
• Bring all supplies down from the storage areas.
• Assist with maintaining a neat, clean and safe working environment.
• Turnover/Takeover station according to established procedure.
• Complete special projects as requested by Food and Beverage management.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested.
