Job Summary

The Kitchen Steward is one of the most important and key positions in the kitchen. It is an invaluable asset that is the hearth of an efficient, organized and well-run kitchen. The day-to-day job of maintaining a clean, hygienic and tidy kitchen is cornerstone to being a productive part of our team that takes pride in the position they work in and helps deliver a great customer service both front of house and back of House. The duties of this role include the following ensuring the greater general kitchen environment is clean and sanitized at all times, the kitchen areas are organized and free from rubbish boxes etc., wash up area is efficient and kept clean and free from dishes and large build-up of dirty crockery, aiding the chefs to organize fridges and dry stores by assisting in deliveries, sanitizing equipment, and ensuring a tidy work environment. This role supports the kitchen team by handling waste disposal, storing supplies, and assisting with other tasks needed in the kitchen.

• Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen, including floors, counters, and storage areas.
• Dispose of waste and recyclables in accordance with health regulations.
• Follow all health, safety, and hygiene protocols.
