Job summary

CoralTree Hospitality Group in San Diego is seeking a PM Full-Time Kitchen Steward to maintain cleanliness, organization, and sanitation of our hotel kitchen and service areas. You will support the culinary team by ensuring all equipment, utensils, and facilities are clean, safe, and ready for service.

Qualifications

• Flexibility to work flexible shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Experience in a stewarding/housekeeping/cleaning role is preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with cleaning chemicals, safe handling, sanitation standards, and proper equipment use is helpful.
• A strong understanding of safety procedures in a kitchen environment is essential.

Responsibilities

• Wash, sanitize, and properly store dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and kitchen equipment according to hotel standards.
• Operate dishwashing machines safely and efficiently while using cleaning chemicals responsibly.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen floors, walls, counters, and storage areas to ensure a safe and organized workspace.
• Support restaurant and banquet operations by ensuring an adequate supply of clean service ware during service. When needed, assist chefs and kitchen staff with basic food preparation tasks.

Responsibilities

Take pride in maintaining a clean and sanitary kitchen environment by washing, sanitizing, and properly storing dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and kitchen equipment according to hotel standards. Operate dishwashing machines safely and efficiently while using cleaning chemicals responsibly.

Maintain cleanliness of kitchen floors, walls, counters, and storage areas to ensure a safe and organized workspace. Collect and dispose of kitchen waste in a hygienic manner and report any broken equipment, maintenance concerns, or safety hazards to leadership.

Support restaurant and banquet operations by ensuring an adequate supply of clean service ware during service. When needed, assist chefs and kitchen staff with basic food preparation tasks to help keep the kitchen running smoothly.

Qualifications

Flexibility: This role requires availability for flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. The kitchen environment is fast-paced and team-driven, so adaptability is key.

Experience: Previous experience in a stewarding, housekeeping, or cleaning role is preferred but not required.

Physical Demands: This position requires frequent standing, walking, bending, and repetitive motions such as scrubbing and washing. The ability to lift, push, or pull items up to 50 pounds is required. You will work in a high-heat, high-humidity environment with exposure to cleaning chemicals and kitchen equipment.
