Job summary

The Galt House Hotel is seeking a Kitchen Steward to maintain the cleanliness of the kitchen by washing dishes, silverware, and cooking utensils, ensuring equipment is ready for food preparation.

This role requires daily cleaning, sanitation, and adherence to hygiene standards; physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods; opportunities for growth and a Drug Free Workplace.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the kitchen is clean, well maintained and organized at all times.
• Cleans and sanitizes pots, pans, cups, bowls, utensils and other minor equipment routinely used in the kitchen following established procedures.
• Cleans and maintains floors and work stations in the kitchen.
• Operate pot-washing machinery and maintain a hygienic working environment in accordance with hygiene regulations and company standards.
• Adhere to all sanitation guidelines.
• Collects and removes trash from department areas following established guidelines.
• Other duties as assigned.

The Galt House Hotel is growing and searching for a Kitchen Steward to contribute to the cleanliness of the kitchen by cleaning dishes, silverware, glasses, pots, pans and other cooking utensils used in preparing food.

Work Requirements:

• Ensure the kitchen is clean, well maintained and organized at all times.

Physical Requirements:

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.

• Standing for hours at a time.
