Responsibilities

• Follows and reinforces The Melting Pot culture and standards.
• Communicates with and assists all restaurant team members to promote positive interaction.
• Adheres to uniform, appearance, and grooming standards and food safety guidelines.
• Follows specifications to ensure exceptional food and uses FIFO for rotation and restocking.
• Uses checklists to set up and close each shift and manage time effectively.
• Documents and reports repairs and maintenance issues promptly.

A chain is only as strong as each link within it. By the same token, it is imperative that the Heart of the House (HOH) team member operates with the same goal in mind, which is satisfying the guest. The HOH team members are involved with every facet of food preparation, as well as the final presentation as it is to be delivered to the guest. Their importance cannot be overstated.

We are a premier fondue restaurant located in Fort Myers since 1988. Our mission is to provide the Perfect Night Out to our guests and a positive work environment to our team members. Our hours of operation are family and student friendly. We close at 10pm every day. We are looking for both full and part time. The Melting Pot of Fort Myers is a great supplemental income job for those with day jobs or are in school.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Follows and reinforces The Melting Pot culture around the MVP card and Perfect Night Out.
• Practices teamwork by communicating with and assisting all members of the restaurant team, promoting positive interaction between all team members.
• Adheres to and maintains company policies and standards, complying with uniform standards, appearance and grooming best practices and federal, state and local laws and guidelines concerning alcoholic beverages and food safety.
• Follows all of the company’s specifications and procedures to ensure Exceptional Food. Follows all food rotation and re-stocking procedures using the FIFO (First In, First Out) method. Follows and uses all food safety procedures and logs.
• Uses checklists to ensure proper set-up and close down of each shift and effective time management.
• Immediately documents and reports repairs and maintenance issues.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

• To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform all job responsibilities. The items listed in the position profile are representative of the knowledge, skill, and / or ability required.
• A passion for providing exceptional food and beverages in a fun, polished casual restaurant.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• High school or college course work / restaurant experience or training is highly-desired. Food safety certification recommended.
