Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum five years journeyman experience in installation, troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of kitchen equipment and refrigeration.
• Ability to read, understand and work from blueprints, drawings, schematics and sketches.
• EPA Universal Refrigeration Certification strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and service refrigeration systems and ice machines.
• Maintain and service kitchen equipment (steam, electric, gas, food prep, ware washing, disposal).
• Report equipment and fixture errors to Management.
• Respond to emergencies throughout the facility.
• Maintain supply inventories and maintenance logs for assigned areas.
• Assist other trades with routine and emergency work.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Responsible for servicing and maintaining refrigeration systems and ice machines.
• Responsible for servicing and maintaining various types of kitchen equipment including steam, electric, gas, food preparation, ware washing and disposal equipment.
• Responsible for reporting all equipment and fixture errors to Management.
• Respond to various emergencies throughout the facility.
• Maintain supply inventories and maintenance logs for all assigned areas.
• Responsible for all other duties as assigned by area and Management.
• Will assist all other trades and crafts with routine and emergency work assignments.

Requirements

• Must have a minimum of five (5) years commercial or industrial Journeyman experience in one or more of the following areas: installation, troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of various types of kitchen equipment including steam, electric and gas cooking, food preparation, ware washing and disposal equipment, beverage systems and/or refrigeration
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent; completion of a 4 year accredited apprenticeship program
• Must have clear and concise communication skills in the English language to communicate to all levels of the organization
• Must be able to read, understand and work from blueprints, drawings, schematics and sketches.
• Must be proficient in the safe use of all trade related hand and power tools, safety and protective equipment
• Must be able to respond immediately to all emergency situations and calls
• Must be able to assist other trades as needed
• Must have a valid Driver's License is required and must be obtained before entering this position
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• A valid EPA Universal Refrigeration Certification is strongly preferred
