Job summary

Chick-fil-A is seeking a Kitchen Shift Leader who exemplifies our servant-hearted culture and leads by example to help the restaurant run smoothly during busy shifts. You will coach teammates, uphold food quality and cleanliness, and support both front- and back-of-house operations to create exceptional guest experiences.

Open/close shifts, count drawers, and provide real-time feedback while mentoring new hires and leading by example.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of leadership experience.
• Available to work Fridays and Saturdays.
• Reliable transportation required.
• Customer-service oriented with a positive attitude.
• Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

A Kitchen Shift Leader is one who consistently demonstrates our core values, embraces the Chick-fil-A culture and has a servant’s heart. Our Shift Leaders are responsible for supporting senior leadership in executing daily operations and keeping team members accountable for each component of Operational Excellence and our Recipe for Service. A Kitchen Shift Leader’s two main areas of focus are completing tasks so that the restaurant runs effectively, and coaching/developing team members. Shift Leaders lead by example and set the tone that others will follow.

What does a shift look like as a Kitchen Shift Leader?

As a Shift Leader, you'll help lead daily restaurant operations by coaching team members, ensuring exceptional guest service, and keeping the shift running smoothly. You'll set the pace for the team, solve problems in real time, and support either the front and back of house to create an outstanding experience for every guest. Throughout your operational shift, you'll encourage team members, maintain high standards for food quality and cleanliness, problem-solve, and help develop future leaders. Every day is fast-paced, rewarding, and an opportunity to make a positive impact on both your team and your community.

Shift Leader Responsibilities:

• Participating operationally in day-to-day activities in high-volume, fast-paced Restaurant
• Provide real-time feedback and reinforce positive behaviors
• Offer immediate and respectful response to guests' needs
• Assist in training of new hires, set the tone for a shift, and act as a role model for our team
• Be a friendly, encouraging team player
• Open and/or close, lead shifts, key holder
• Count drawers and finalize day
• Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken
• Ensure compliance with all Chick-fil-A operational standards and procedures

• Must have at least 1 year of leadership experience
• Must be available to work FRIDAYS and SATURDAYS
• Must have reliable transportation
