Job summary

SSP America in Sterling, VA is hiring a Utility/Dishwasher to keep restaurants clean and sanitized for guests and team members. You will maintain hygiene across surfaces, assist guests, and support kitchen operations in a fast-paced airport environment.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years old.
• Minimum 6 months' experience in retail or food service.
• High school diploma preferred.
• Verbal and written communication.
• Must read, speak and understand English to communicate with guests.
• Experience in dealing with guest service problems.
• Food handlers permit, as required by law.
• Brand certification, as required.
• Ability to stand and work in confined spaces for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Create a positive guest experience by cleaning and maintaining hygienic work areas.
• Maintain cleanliness of all surfaces and equipment.
• Remove refuse to designated areas.
• Clear and reset tables and transport service-ware to kitchen for cleaning.
• Wash dishes by hand or in a load dishwasher and store properly.
• Clean equipment using chemicals to meet sanitary standards.
• Assist guests with requests and relay needs to servers.
• Load/unload supplies between storage and work areas.
• Stock, date, rotate, and check temperature of food items.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
