Benchmark Hospitality at Deloitte University Hotel & Conference Center in Westlake, TX is seeking a Kitchen Runner & Driver to coordinate kitchen needs, deliver food, and assist chefs during banquets and events. This full-time position supports a dynamic, high-volume setting with an emphasis on service, sanitation, and safety.

The role offers first- and second-shift availability, a $19 per hour pay rate, and opportunities to grow within Benchmark Hospitality’s renowned properties.

Qualifications

• Experience in Stewarding, Kitchens or cleaning areas preferred.
• Must be able to read and communicate in English.
• Texas Driver’s License with good driving record preferred.
• Must be 21+ years old due to vehicle insurance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Deliver food to all kitchens, including the cafeteria, when needed.
• Assist in putting food and supplies away in the kitchen according to FIFO standards.
• Drive a golf cart and a small box truck to move food and equipment safely.
• Set up and take down stations for serving and cleaning dishes.
• Talk with the chef and banquet leaders to make sure all needs are met.
• Keep food and drink areas clean, sanitized, and well-organized.
• Help keep all kitchen equipment clean and in order with the steward team.
• Put kitchen tools and equipment back in the correct place after use.
• Keep kitchen areas clean by sweeping, mopping, taking out trash, and restocking soap and paper towels.
