Responsibilities

• Follows recipe and storyboards to prepare foods according to proper preparation methods
• Ensures proper food handling and sanitation procedures are followed
• Maintains a clean and sanitary workstation area
• Maintains high standards of personal grooming; wears gloves and changes apron as needed
• Understands standard portion sizes, quality standards and kitchen rules
• Unpacks and organizes received goods
• Prepares menu items using plating recipes
• Reports equipment and food quality problems to management
• Uses prep list and hot box chart to ensure timely delivery
• Follows all safety procedures when using equipment
• May assist in other job categories
• All other duties as assigned
