Job summary

Perkins Management Services Company is seeking a Prep Team Member to assist in daily restaurant food preparation, labeling, storing, and rotating products to ensure service readiness and product quality throughout all shifts.

You will follow recipes, portion accurately, wash produce, prepare sauces and salads, label and date items, rotate stock by FIFO, keep prep surfaces clean, and help receive and store deliveries as needed, while upholding food-safety standards and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Previous food-preparation experience preferred but not required.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to follow recipes and preparation procedures.
• Knowledge of basic food safety preferred.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Dependable and organized.

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned daily food-preparation tasks.
• Wash and prepare produce as required.
• Portion ingredients and products according to established standards.
• Prepare sauces, salads, toppings, and other assigned products.
• Follow recipes and portion-control standards.
• Label, date, rotate, and properly store prepared products.
• Follow FIFO procedures.
• Maintain clean and sanitized preparation surfaces.
• Prevent cross-contamination.
• Monitor product freshness and report quality concerns.
• Maintain organized refrigerators, coolers, and storage areas.
• Assist with receiving and putting away deliveries when assigned.
• Maintain appropriate prep levels based on anticipated business volume.
• Follow all food-safety and sanitation requirements.
