Job summary

Responsibilities include operating the dishwasher, loading and unloading, monitoring sanitization temps, and helping with prep as needed while adhering to health regulations.

Qualifications

• Previous dishwashing or similar role preferred, not required.

• Physical stamina to stand for long periods, lift heavy objects, and perform repetitive tasks.

Responsibilities

• Operate commercial dishwashing equipment safely and efficiently.
• Sort, rinse, and load dirty dishes, utensils, and glassware into the dishwasher.
• Add detergents and cleaning agents as required; monitor temperature for sanitization.
• Inspect, unload, and store clean kitchenware properly.
• Assist with simple food preparation tasks (peeling vegetables, portioning ingredients).
• Adhere to all health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
• Report equipment malfunctions, supply shortages, or maintenance needs.
• Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth and timely service.

Overview / Job Summary:

The Kitchen Porter/Dishwasher plays a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen during lunchtime service. This position ensures that dishes, utensils, and kitchen tools are properly washed, sanitized, and stored, allowing the kitchen team to deliver exceptional service to customers.
