Job summary

NutTree Guernsey Limited is seeking a reliable Kitchen Porter to join our busy kitchen team at Cobo Bay Hotel. This full-time role supports chefs and helps maintain a clean, efficient kitchen in a fast-paced environment.

Key duties include dishwashing, general cleaning, basic prep, stock handling, and assisting during busy service periods. On-site accommodation is available if required. Training and progression opportunities are offered.

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Porter to join our busy kitchen team.

The Kitchen Porter plays an essential role in supporting the chefs and ensuring the kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working as part of a team and takes pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness.

Key Responsibilities

• Wash and clean dishes, pots, pans and kitchen equipment
• Keep kitchen areas, floors and storage areas clean and tidy
• Assist chefs with basic food preparation when required
• Ensure rubbish and recycling are disposed of correctly
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the kitchen
• Assist with deliveries and the safe storage of stock
• Keep equipment and work areas organised
• Follow all food safety, health and safety procedures
• Support the kitchen team during busy service periods
