The Selvedge is seeking a Porter to support the kitchen and dishwashing areas under the Head Chef. You will ensure all dishware and equipment are cleaned to exceptional standards and help maintain a safe, organized kitchen that enables seamless service.

Responsibilities include washing, sanitizing, and storing wares, operating dishwashing equipment, and assisting with cleaning projects. This role requires flexibility for mornings/evenings/weekends/holidays.

Qualifications

• One year of dishwashing, stewarding, kitchen, or hospitality experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Strong work ethic with the ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Dependable, trustworthy, and committed to maintaining high standards.
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Strong attention to cleanliness, organization, and efficiency.
• Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and support the culinary team.
• Availability to work mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime as business needs require.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of the kitchen and dishwashing areas.
• Ensure all dishware, glassware, cookware, and utensils are cleaned and prepared to standards.
• Support culinary team by maintaining a safe, organized kitchen environment.
• Wash, sanitize, dry, and store dishes and kitchen equipment.
• Operate dishwashing equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain flow of clean and soiled wares to support operations.
• Assist with cleaning kitchen areas and participate in cleaning projects.
• Support breakfast service and events as needed.
