The Selvedge is seeking a Porter to support the kitchen by maintaining dishwashing areas, ensuring cleanliness and organization, and assisting the culinary team. Under the Head Chef, you’ll help maintain a safe, efficient kitchen that enhances guest experiences in a luxury hospitality setting.

Responsibilities include washing and storing wares, operating dishwashing equipment, and supporting daily cleaning projects while adhering to safety and sanitation standards.

Qualifications

• One year of dishwashing, stewarding, kitchen, or hospitality experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Strong work ethic with ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Dependable and committed to maintaining high standards.
• Able to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Strong attention to cleanliness, organization and efficiency.
• Positive attitude with willingness to learn and support the culinary team.
• Availability to work mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Wash, sanitize, dry, and properly store dishes, glassware, cookware and utensils.
• Operate commercial dishwashing equipment safely and efficiently.
• Inspect items for cleanliness and quality before service.
• Maintain an organized flow of clean and soiled wares to support operations.
• Support culinary team and daily kitchen operations.
