Job summary

The Gilmore Collection in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking a Back of House Employee to support our kitchen operations. You will assist with food prep, cooking, cleaning, and dishwashing to keep the restaurant running smoothly.

Ideal candidates are reliable, able to work in a team, and comfortable standing for long periods. Training is provided, and opportunities for advancement exist within the company.

Qualifications

• Experience in kitchen operations is preferred but training is provided.
• Ability to work in a team to meet the demands of the kitchen.
• Flexibility to take on various tasks within the kitchen and adapt to changing demands.
• Focus on quality and cleanliness in food preparation and kitchen maintenance.
• Ability to stand for long periods and handle kitchen equipment safely.
• Willingness to obtain food handler certifications.

Responsibilities

• Food Preparation: washing, cutting, and marinating ingredients for cooking.
• Cooking: assist in cooking and assembling dishes following recipes and directives.
• Cleaning and Maintenance: keep the kitchen area clean and organized per health guidelines.
• Equipment Handling: use and maintain kitchen equipment, report malfunctions or safety issues.
• Support Duties: assist with other kitchen tasks to ensure smooth peak-time operations.
