Job summary

Chuy's in Cookeville, TN, is seeking a Kitchen Manager with strong leadership to oversee food cost, waste, production, and staff scheduling in a high-volume scratch kitchen.

You will supervise the kitchen with the AKM, ensure adherence to recipes and HACCP, manage inventory and equipment, and contribute to hiring and training. Bi-lingual Spanish is preferred. Competitive salary with benefits and opportunities for growth within the Chuy's brand.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of kitchen management in a high-volume restaurant.
• Bi-lingual Spanish preferred.
• Familiarity with a variety of kitchen equipment.
• Strong culinary knowledge and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Full accountability for food cost, food waste, BOH staffing and wages, HACCP, production, pars, orders, and cleanliness.
• Supervises and partners with the Assistant Kitchen Manager (AKM) to run and maintain the kitchen.
• Works with the AKM to ensure that the restaurant kitchen is properly staffed in all positions.
• Follows, teaches, and maintains procedures and recipes to ensure food quality and safety.
• Oversees and maintains pars, inventory, and orders.
• Ensures that kitchen equipment is working properly.
• Participates in hiring and training of new staff and managers.
• Ensures that cleaning standards are maintained and verified.
• Oversees and creates schedules for kitchen staff with AKM.
• Works within a budget and projections to maintain costs and minimize waste.
