Job summary

Tigg's Canteen Services is seeking a Kitchen Manager to oversee daily kitchen operations at the DeKalb County Jail in Auburn, Indiana. This leadership role focuses on coaching staff, maintaining high food quality, and meeting company standards in a structured, fast-paced environment.

You will supervise kitchen staff, assist with food preparation, ensure recipes and sanitation protocols are followed, manage inventory and portion control, and work within a correctional facility.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to obtain security clearance for the correctional facility.
• Availability to work rotating weekends and holidays.
• Flexible shifts between 9:00 AM and 6:00 PM.
• Previous food service, kitchen, or supervisory experience preferred; willing to train with right attitude.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily kitchen operations and ensure meals are prepared safely and to company standards.
• Supervise and lead kitchen staff.
• Assist with food preparation, baking, cooking, and sanitation.
• Ensure recipes and food safety procedures are followed.
• Maintain quality, portion control, and inventory standards.
