Job summary

Tigg's Canteen Services is hiring a Permanent Full-Time Kitchen Manager for Cheboygan County Jail in Cheboygan, Michigan. You will lead daily kitchen operations, prepare meals, and supervise a team in a structured correctional environment.

Starting wage is $23.00 per hour. Must be able to work weekends/holidays, lift up to 50 pounds, and complete the facility clearance process. Training is available for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to follow company recipes and instructions.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work well in a structured correctional environment.
• Availability to work weekends and holidays.
• Flexibility to work varying days and shifts between 9:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.
• Approval to enter the facility through the required clearance process.

Responsibilities

• Preparing meals and assisting with cooking and baking.
• Leading, instructing, and assisting with food preparation activities.
• Following company recipes and established procedures.
• Completing kitchen cleanup and helping maintain a clean, safe work environment.
• Working effectively in a structured correctional facility.
