Job summary

Larsmont Cottages’ Ledge Rock Grille at Two Harbors, Minnesota, is seeking an experienced Kitchen Manager to partner with the Executive Chef. You will oversee daily kitchen operations, mentor staff, maintain food quality and safety, and ensure a seamless dining experience for guests.

Qualifications

• College degree preferred but not required; minimum of three to five years’ related experience; or acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong leadership and training abilities to mentor kitchen staff.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, guest-focused restaurant environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Executive Chef in daily kitchen operations, food preparation, and menu execution.
• Prepare and present high-quality food while maintaining recipe, portion, and presentation standards.
• Lead by example during service by actively working alongside the kitchen team in a fast-paced environment.
• Support training, coaching, and development of kitchen staff to ensure consistent performance and quality.
• Maintain a positive, team-oriented work environment focused on guest satisfaction and excellence.
• Contribute ideas for specials and menu items.
• Monitor food quality, safety, sanitation and proper handling per standards.
• Assist with inventory management, rotation, and ordering processes.
• Support staffing and scheduling as directed by the Executive Chef.
• Participate in banquet, catering, and special events as needed.
