Berkley Beer Company is an on-site brewery located in Taunton Ma. We are a 162 seat capacity Taproom and an open-air kitchen focused on our beautiful mosaic pizza oven.

We are looking for a creative hardworking individual who will bring their culinary creativity, food service management, excellent communication skills and people management skills to our busy growing business.

The kitchen Manager/First Cook is responsible for supporting the Taproom Manager with all the Back of the House operational aspects of the taproom. Their responsibilities include but are not limited to: supervising all Kitchen staff, adhering to all company guidelines, ensuring cleanliness and sanitation, optimizing profits by controlling food costs, production, waste and labor. Conduct Inventory and ordering. Motivates and trains all kitchen team members. We are looking for someone who will follow the culinary direction of the management team, as we provide the ultimate customer experience in an expansive beautiful taproom, known for its creative rotation of craft beers and foods.

Applicant Requirements

  • 3-5+ years of kitchen experience with At least 2 years of Kitchen Management.
  • SERVE Safe Certification: Food Manager & Allergen required prior to hire
  • Gourmet Pizza experience and creative use of Turbo Chef ovens will be given additional consideration as we have no grill or fry stations
  • Graduate of an accredited culinary program is a plus
  • Regular work week is Thursday through Sunday with an occasional Wednesday. Our kitchen is closed by 9p.m. and 7pm on Sundays.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to move (lift, push, or pull) at least 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand, work, and move around the floor for 11 hours

This is a FULL-TIME Salaried position averaging 45 hours +/- weekly based on occasional functions
